      Our mission is to provide our resident students with the highest quality living and learning environment at a reasonable cost. We hope you find this website to be useful in making your decision to live on campus. Please review the following housing options available at the University of New Orleans.

Both UNO and Campus Living Villages (CLV) provide residential facilities on our campus.  We understand you may have a housing preference; however, due to our contractual obligations to CLV, you will be first directed to Privateer Place, our privately owned and operated apartments on campus.  If you prefer to reside in Pontchartrain Hall, you will have to decline assignment to Privateer Place and indicate such on your Pontchartrain Hall application.  

If you are a UNO scholarship recipient, your housing option will be determined by your scholarship

     Pontchartrain Halls, North and South, located at Milneburg Road and St. Anthony Avenue, are state of the art residence facilities consisting of two four story buildings with approximately 230,000 square feet.  Total occupancy for both halls is 740 in one bedroom/one bath, two bedroom/one bath and four bedroom/two bath configurations. Common areas with a lobby and seating areas, study and social areas are designed with student needs and comfort as a focus. Modern laundry facilities are located in both buildings. The North building has a game room and a convenience store and the South Building has a fully appointed community kitchen.  All units are furnished with internet and cable service included.  Parking areas are provided around both buildings and across Milneburg Road located directly in the rear of the Human Performance Center.  Security is first and foremost with both buildings having card access and video surveillance.

      Lafitte Village is a married/family residence facility located at Founder’s Road and Leon C. Simon Boulevard consisting of 38 one bedroom apartments and 72 two bedroom apartments.  Lafitte Village is under renovation with an anticipated opening date of spring 2011.  Please continue to monitor our website for updates.

     Privateer Place is a privately owned apartment style facility located at 2000 Lakeshore Drive.  Please refer to their website, www.campushousing.com/uno for details.

This is a sample lease agreement for housing at Pontchartrain Halls.  You will receive a completed document in your packet.  Please read and sign this document and return it to the Office of Student Housing.  Please note that you will NOT be assigned a room until receipt of this document by Student Housing.  All assignments will be based on the date of receipt.
