When I moved into Pontchartrain Halls
two years ago, I expected a run-of-the-mill dorm experience.
Boy, was I wrong! The Latin-American population made me feel
right at home. But more importantly, the other students from
various countries around the world exposed me to cultures and
traditions that opened my mind. Even the Resident Assistant
staff is greatly diverse, providing a sense of community that I
didn’t expect. And, the RAs put on awesome programs that make
every night interesting. I especially liked “PHall Swim,” a pool
party and water volleyball match. If UNO is the cake,
Pontchartrain Hall is the icing that creates an experience not
to be forgotten. Ernesto Alas |
